ALDI - FOOD SELLER OR PERSON POISONER?

Aldi claims they are committed to reducing the use of plastic packaging, yet they have JUST swapped their peanut butter jars from glass to plastic!

From the Aldi website: 'we are aware of the negative impact that plastic has on the environment, and know this is an issue that matters to our customers, which is why Aldi has committed to reduce, reuse, and recycle 100% of our packaging.'

Not only that but Aldi also promotes itself on the website as a beacon for reducing BPA white lining inside food cans, this chemical being known for years to be gender-bending and infertility causing.

From the Aldi website: 'Bisphenol-A, commonly known as BPA, is a chemical that may be found in food packaging and non-food products. To address this concern, we are taking the following measures: Limiting BPA in our ALDI-exclusive brand products where possible and making good progress.'

However, Aldi has recently STARTED applying this poison paint to the inside of their own-brand soup tins! I say recently but it's more than six months ago - I know that because I've been waiting for a reply from Aldi for all of that time. I knew they didn't add the stuff and then saw it about six months ago, to my horror. I guess we will never know exactly what IS in that white stuff that leaches into our foods! Shocking in this day and age that food suppliers behave in this way!

From the Aldi website: 'Nothing is more important than ensuring the safety of products that you buy. And because customer safety is paramount, we ensure that all Aldi own-label food products and production sites meet national food safety and quality standards, and undergo annual audit inspections.' Email from Aldi:

Dear Hannah,
Thank you for your email.
I am sorry to hear that you have been noticing an increase in what you have described as toxins in order products.
I will be investigating this matter further and when I have recieved further information, I will contact you to advise.
Kind regards,
Laurie

How long does it take to ask the food safety auditor what the hell is that white stuff coating the inside of tins and leeching into food?!
Please note, this pledge to reduce the use of BPA in food packaging was made on the US website and isn't mentioned on the UK website. So it's not a compulsion due to duty and morals, otherwise it would be all soup tins worldwide.
Given Aldi pushes all the World Economic Forum agendas, I cannot imagine they would aim to keep the masses alive.
